Community Respite is a 24-hour service that provides periodic relief for a family or family substitute on a temporary basis. Community Respite may include relief service for some clients for less than 24 hours in the same facility in which 24-hour respite is provided. The respite provider addresses the health, nutrition, and daily living needs of the client. Community Respite may be provided in a variety of locations, including a licensed residential facility or in a private home.
